10 November 2016
On Thursday 10th November, The Deanes was privileged to be granted access to the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet. Hamlet has long been one of the bard's most famous, and most difficult, plays.
Fifty students, who have shown themselves to be enthusiastic and talented English students, were chosen to spend the day watching a live streaming of the play, and then to take part in a Drama based workshop based on the plot of Hamlet.
Although it is an extremely challenging play, our students rose to the challenge, interpreting the plot, and making their own reduced Shakespeare versions at the end of the day. The students involved found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable day.
